Outlines may sound boring and tedious at first, but they are a wonderful organizational tool for writing. In my class, I will require an outline to be submitted before students begin writing their papers, to ensure all the work begins is on the right track. Outlines will be counted for points, easy points when completed! This assignment is to get students in the habit of writing outlines, to relieve anxiety when writing. Work smarter not harder.
